Weekly Masonic Reflection: April 1st 2026.
“Those people with hearts aligned with Masonry shall listen to its voice; the Grand Architect knows them, and they follow Him. And He gives them eternal life, and they shall never perish.”
Dear Brethren, to have our hearts aligned with Masonry is to be in harmony with the very purpose of our existence, which is to develop our own individual character: those moral qualities that are consciously embraced and consistently lived as a daily discipline. Each of us came to Masonry because its voice spoke to something deeper within us, giving meaning where there was once uncertainty, and purpose where there was once directionless motion.
Yet, some people confuse Freemasonry the institution, with Masonry the living Truth. Membership can be obtained as one joins any worldly society, for to be a Freemason is to belong; to be a Mason is to become, a transformation only earned through labor. If you enter to wear the title, without embracing the Work, you are missing the very Light you are seeking. Both the Freemason and the Mason alike stand under solemn promises made before God and conscience, for which each of us shall be held accountable.
Brother Jack R. Levitt, Past Grand Master said: “through Masonry, the Grand Architect teaches us to practice love and kindness in our homes; honesty and fairness in our occupations; courtesy in our social dealings; compassion for the widow and the distressed; resistance against wickedness; trust in good men; forgiveness toward the penitent; love for one another; and, above all, reverence for the Supreme Being.” The voice of Masonry continues to call the world to embody these principles, to be known to the Grand Architect by the sincerity of our lives and the strength of our character, to act with integrity, and to walk in faithful obedience to the Light.
Fraternally yours, the Presidency of the Society of Light.
Signed in spirit and truth.
